Today’s the first day of spring even though it is a quiet one outside as people are staying home to protect our essential workers and communities. We also have new packaging papers sent to us from sweet and generous friends from Asia that we cannot wait to use when our communities are safe, back and running again. This was our last small order last week before the city and SF flower mart closed, then we all went into shelter in place. Some events have cancelled and postponed, and we are here for you. Fortunately, we have our day jobs, knowing well it is much harder for our friends and vendors whose work on here is their full time business and grind and had to make tougher calls. Our friends, community, and family have been so kind and supportive during this public health crisis by checking in on us. Everyone is doing a small role to help another. For now, daily explorations are limited to quiet and secluded walks in our neighborhood’s trails and only much needed local grocery runs. Who knows what tomorrow’s regulations will be. There’s a silver lining to this madness that here’s an opportunity for me to finish my PhD thesis at Cal (I’ve been stuck on page 103 for a week), spend time with my family (without going bonkers), practice patience and healthy habits (trying not to gain 15 lbs from barely moving), and revisit projects left on the back burner (geez I’m afraid to look at my outdated webpage). At the end of the day, I truly hope there will be better brighter days when we all come out of this but we gotta do it together and be firm. #faithinhumanity

A little pick me up: double lid tulips 🌷. Remember to check up on your loved ones, especially the elderly and those who are not wfh or cannot afford to. Practice good hygiene and don’t overbuy due to panic. Support small businesses and have faith that we are here for you. Use trusted sources like @cdcgov or @who. And if you can, donate canned goods to your local food bank. We are a strong community 💪🏻.

Dedicated to and inspired by my good friend @lovely.elysian’s heavenly creatures’ headpieces collection. I will leave these to the pros because my fingers got tired very fast.

I have been getting a lot of concerns about the virus appearing in the Bay Area. I believe the best medicine is preparation. Stock up on food, medicine, and water in case you need to stay home. Always wipe down your work and study areas, and wash your hands regularly. Stay away from those who are sick. And keep on moving 🚲 because fear should not stop us from protecting our families and doing the things we need to do to maintain our quality of life. And most importantly, do everything consciously and respectfully.
